Ivy absolutely loved this clever, funny fantasy adventure — the kind of book that starts slow but then becomes impossible to put down. She's already planning to dive into the rest of the series.

Ivy's Review

The Map of Everywhere can take you anywhere. To Fin, an orphan who no one can remember, it is the key to help him find his mother. To Marrill, it's the only way to find her way back home after getting stranded on the magical Pirate Stream. But they aren't the only ones looking for it. An evil, insane, wizard is after the Map, and if Marrill and Fin can't stop him, it will result in the destruction of everything.

I really enjoyed this book. I thought it was clever and funny, but you have to stick with it. At the beginning, it drags a little, but once you get a little less than halfway through, it becomes a lot more interesting. This is not one of those books that you can really tell if you like it or not by reading the first couple of chapters.

I personally really like that it switches perspectives from Forgettable Fin to Poison Fire (you'll get it if you read it) Marrill. I would definitely read this again and the rest of the series. I'm going to start Book Two after I finish this. If you like fantasy, magic, and a dash of suspense and humor, you will love this book.
